Dumfries &Galloway Aviation Museum

Dumfries & Galloway Aviation Museum is a small independent museum where we are passionate about the history of aviation and our local area. We have a fantastic collection of aircraft, including our Battle of Britain veteran Loch Doon Spitfire, our supersonic Lightning fighter and our wartime assault glider collection. There are dedicated displays on the Home Front, RAF Dumfries and the Bomber War, and the only dedicated Airborne Forces collection in Scotland.

Our modern distillery was designed to deliver a modern grain to glass set up which would allow us to create any spirit we turn our hand to, and create an inspiring and unique home to celebrate our products and the region that drives their character.

At Drumlanrig Castle, you will find something for everyone. Explore the magnificent Pink Palace and its world class art collection on a guided tour. Marvel at the sights and scents in the acres of stunning Victorian gardens to explore.

Angela established Clience Studio in the artist's town of Kirkcudbright, South-West Scotland in 2004. Now situated nearby in the high street of Castle Douglas, Clience Studio is a most welcoming gallery, as well as the artist's studio, and displays her original oils and watercolours, signed giclee prints and other items produced from her work.

Take a walk in paradise at five star Logan Botanic Garden and discover plant treasures rarely seen in the United Kingdom. Located on the south-western tip of Scotland, Logan enjoys an almost subtropical climate. The Garden's avenues and borders feature a spectacular and colourful array of half-hardy perennials.

Threave’s wonderful garden has been created over the years by students of the Trust’s School of Heritage Gardening – and is a fine example of landscaped beauty. The garden is divided into a series of smaller gardens to showcase different styles, including a rose garden, rockery and walled garden.

The Whithorn Trust was set up in 1986 to explore the archaeology and history of Whithorn, and to examine its role in the evolution of Christianity in Scotland. The Trust was established as a direct consequence of an archaeological excavation at Whithorn in 1984. This project showed that remains had survived which dated back to the early centuries of Whithorn’s development as a Christian centre.
